The festival offered entertainment to suit everyones taste, in a comfortable space. Acts like Bombay Bicycle Club, and Little Simz joined many acts on the main stage, There were a number of other stages including a more Indie themed stage, and a Dance stage, Away from the music, comedians and talks took to centre “stage” in a chilled out tent atmosphere, along with a Wellness marquee.

I was invited along to Connect Festival (2022), and being a big fan of 1) Music and 2) festivals, this was not one to be missed. They’ve already announced the festival will be returning in 2023 – details here: https://connectmusicfestival.com/

Scotland’s sustainable festival, the team working on the festival were aiming to make this as carbon friendly, and sustainable as possible with even the most minor details considered.

For example, the venue – Royal Highland Show Ground, Ingliston, (Edinburgh) was specifically chosen because of its location and easy access for public transport, and within walking distance of the city.

The festival itself was one of the cleanest festivals I’ve ever attended, and well stocked with access to water for refilling bottles, and food vendors using recyclable material to present the food in.

Accommodation wise, there was a campsite, however the tents/yurts were constructed, and were available to hire through the festival, rather than festival-goers bringing their own tents.
