Saturday 18th July saw the return of a half marathon in Aberdeen, with the hope of bring a full marathon to the city in 2027!
Claire was taked with hosting the day, alongside socials and linking back in to Original 106.
The day ran very smoothly, with great feedback! Almost 3000 runners taking part, and more than double that with supporters descending upon Duthie Park, the vibe was vibing.
DJ Home Alone kept the tunes going and worked with Claire to make te day energetic!
Claire managed to catch up with the Lord Provost David Cameron who was the VIP starter and in charger of sounding the klaxon to send the runners on their way!
And what to do while the runners are out on the course? Get a “recovery” massage of course! Thank you to JJ who was there with RGU Physio and the Denis Law Legacy Trust, who kindly gave Claire’s poor calves a good rub! (Well it’s quality testing – or that was the excuse she gave!!)
